Watching parliament for the last few days has led me to the conclusion that we need fundamental electoral reform to avoid this kind of impasse.
The last three years have been a case study of what happens when a government refuses to compromise, yet has no clear majority.
Some form of proportional representation would make coalition governments the norm, and force fundamental compromise as the only effective means of getting anything done.
Also, this "delivering the will of the people" rhetoric -- isn't it more important to be delivering the will of the people as it is _right now_ than as it was three years ago?
Can the Brexiteers really claim to know the will of all the 15-17yr olds who were totally unrepresented in the referendum?
